Annie Young

A graduate of The Bush School in Seattle, Annie Young holds a bachelor’s degree in Comparative Literature cum laude, with minors in French and Psychology from the University of Washington. She holds a Washington State teaching certificate earned by completing the University of Washington post-graduate teaching program.

An educator for over 25 years and a former Blakely Elementary teacher, Annie has been a tutor at Island Educational Services for 11 years. She creates a welcoming and fun environment to guide students’ growth and confidence in their subject areas to gain greater confidence in their skills. Annie is also trained in the Wilson Reading System, which is used by Bainbridge Island schools to support students with dyslexia.
